The elongation at break of a pipe is a measure of its ability to withstand stretching before rupturing. It is expressed as a percentage and should be equal to or greater than 350% in order for the pipe material to be considered high-quality.
This refers to the tendency of a pipe to return to its original shape after being heated to 100℃. A high-quality pipe should have a longitudinal reversion of no more than 3% in order to ensure its stability and structural integrity.
The oxidation induction time of a pipe is a measure of its resistance to oxidative degradation. This is important as exposure to high temperatures, such as 200℃, can cause pipes to deteriorate over time. A pipe material should have an oxidation induction time of at least 20 minutes to be considered suitable for use.
After a pipe has been subjected to aging energy equal to or greater than 3.5GJ/㎡, it should still maintain its weather resistance. This means it should be able to withstand a static hydraulic strength of 80℃ for at least 165 hours without experiencing any breakage or leakage.
In addition, the percentage of breaking-elongation should still be at least 350% and the oxidation induction time at 200℃ should be at least 10 minutes after the aging process. These requirements further ensure the longevity and strength of the pipe material even in harsh weather conditions.
